Panel: PAN presents: Hero*ines in Utopia

The three panelists, who share some awards between them, have written utopian novels or novels with utopian elements. Are the hero*ines in them the same as those in other novels or is there a special kind of utopian protagonist? Is community as important utopian element something that unburdens the main character or is it more of an obstacle, neither helping them in their work nor in their lonesome struggle? What can a utopian story do for their hero*ines?

After a short introduction of the panelists, we will dive into a discussion about aspects and difficulties of writing hero*ines in gripping, entertaining utopian novels.
